I Have Returned!!!

Do not be sad any longer good people of the internet...for I, Sadie Fryar, have returned to share all my experiences of the last few months...the most intimate details exposed for all to see!

Oh wait, I dropped my notes...

Let's go back a few months to, oh say...October when Mom and I went to Nana and Duke's house to visit with Papa and Nana who came up from Mexico. I had a wonderful time with my great-grandparents and I am thinking about going to visit them soon. Mom thinks I am too young to go alone but I think I am wearing her down. I shall start our blogging adventure with a funny story...I'm already laughing!!!

One day I was minding my own business, playing in the space between the chairs and TV (a great place to play) when I noticed that I was being followed by...wait for it...a monkey! Can you believe it? I figured it was a Ft. Worth Zoo escapee or a stowaway from Mexico that came with Nana and Papa. Look there it is!!

I tried to outrun it...

I tried to roll and roll on the floor so it would lose its monkey death grip...

I even tried to hide from it in order to fool it into thinking that I had gone away.

I soon realized that the monkey was not here to harm me but it must have liked the way I smelled. So, I did what anyone would do when they find themselves with a monkey on their back...I put on my big girl boots and went on with my life!

Enough monkey buisness for now. One of my favorite things about visiting Nana and Duke's is that it gives me a chance to catch up with my cousins who  never cease to amaze and astound me. Here I am asking Jordan if he would rather blow bubbles or jump rope.

He wasn't sure what jump roping was (since he and his brother Caden only use the rope to tie each other up) so I thought I would show him proper jump roping form...clearly I am amazing at this activity.

Alas, Jordan wanted to play this game instead...

The bucket head game seemed dangerous to me (plus there was only 1 giant bucket) so I thought I would play a few rounds of golf instead. I use two clubs so it takes me half the time it takes other less experienced golfers.

I am so busy when I go visiting that I get extremely hungry so mealtimes are always looked forward to. Here are some examples of the wonderful cuisine I was exposed to. Mandarin Oranges...you can't truly savor unless you close your eyes.

Corn Dogs! A hot dog wienie wrapped in bread on a stick...heavenly. It was like a giant bready popsicle!

And burritoes! I was shocked to discover that my yummy Taco Bell burrito may not be made with 100% beef but than I realized that since it only cost 79 cents, you get what you pay for.
Yum thanks for the milk mom. Nothing goes better with Mexican food than a sippy of nice cold milk!

After dinner Jordan and I would get into our pj's and watch TV. This particular night we screened a particularly disturbing episode of SpongeBob Squarepants. As you can see Jordan was in shock over Spongebob's antics.
I, on the other hand..was on the edge of my seat!

Oh no! Spongebob was just ripped in half!! I didn't even see that coming! Ewwwww.

Hmmm. I guess it was too gruesome for Jordan...wimp.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end and it was all too soon that Papa and Nana had to be on their way. Before they left they wanted to give us our Christmas presents. Of course we were all over that and oh, what fun we had! Caden received a Spiderman that could actually climb the walls. You can't tell but he is super excited.

Amaya received a jewlery making kit! I wanted to play with all those wonderful beads and jewels soooo badly but Mom wouldn't let me...I heard her tell Aunt Becca that I would just put them in my mouth, she knows me too well because that is exactly what I was going to do with them. I thought Aunt Becca would be on my side at least, she used to taste all her toys. Sheesh!

Jordan got a toy train set but he wouldn't let me see it.

I saved the best for last. You would not believe what Papa and Nana got me for Christmas...I can hardly believe it myself. I opened my present with great anticipation to discover...MY VERY OWN LAPTOP!!! AND IT WAS PINK!!!! Finally! Now I won't have to pry the computer from Mom's hands after she falls asleep. Thank you Papa and Nana!

I immediately went to a private corner and set to work. I don't know how many hours passed while I was busy busy busy!

I had so much fun with Papa and Nana. I was sad to see them go home but I look forward to seeing them soon.  I have many things to do at the moment but I promise to try and get some more blogs up soon. After all, I know you are all on the edge of seats in anticpation for my Christmas blogs!

Until then...may your night night bottles be warm and fill your tummys!
