I Have Returned!!!

Do not be sad any longer good people of the internet...for I, Sadie Fryar, have returned to share all my experiences of the last few months...the most intimate details exposed for all to see!

Oh wait, I dropped my notes...

Let's go back a few months to, oh say...October when Mom and I went to Nana and Duke's house to visit with Papa and Nana who came up from Mexico. I had a wonderful time with my great-grandparents and I am thinking about going to visit them soon. Mom thinks I am too young to go alone but I think I am wearing her down. I shall start our blogging adventure with a funny story...I'm already laughing!!!

One day I was minding my own business, playing in the space between the chairs and TV (a great place to play) when I noticed that I was being followed by...wait for it...a monkey! Can you believe it? I figured it was a Ft. Worth Zoo escapee or a stowaway from Mexico that came with Nana and Papa. Look there it is!!

I tried to outrun it...

I tried to roll and roll on the floor so it would lose its monkey death grip...

I even tried to hide from it in order to fool it into thinking that I had gone away.

I soon realized that the monkey was not here to harm me but it must have liked the way I smelled. So, I did what anyone would do when they find themselves with a monkey on their back...I put on my big girl boots and went on with my life!

Enough monkey buisness for now. One of my favorite things about visiting Nana and Duke's is that it gives me a chance to catch up with my cousins who  never cease to amaze and astound me. Here I am asking Jordan if he would rather blow bubbles or jump rope.

He wasn't sure what jump roping was (since he and his brother Caden only use the rope to tie each other up) so I thought I would show him proper jump roping form...clearly I am amazing at this activity.

Alas, Jordan wanted to play this game instead...

The bucket head game seemed dangerous to me (plus there was only 1 giant bucket) so I thought I would play a few rounds of golf instead. I use two clubs so it takes me half the time it takes other less experienced golfers.

I am so busy when I go visiting that I get extremely hungry so mealtimes are always looked forward to. Here are some examples of the wonderful cuisine I was exposed to. Mandarin Oranges...you can't truly savor unless you close your eyes.

Corn Dogs! A hot dog wienie wrapped in bread on a stick...heavenly. It was like a giant bready popsicle!

And burritoes! I was shocked to discover that my yummy Taco Bell burrito may not be made with 100% beef but than I realized that since it only cost 79 cents, you get what you pay for.
Yum thanks for the milk mom. Nothing goes better with Mexican food than a sippy of nice cold milk!

After dinner Jordan and I would get into our pj's and watch TV. This particular night we screened a particularly disturbing episode of SpongeBob Squarepants. As you can see Jordan was in shock over Spongebob's antics.
I, on the other hand..was on the edge of my seat!

Oh no! Spongebob was just ripped in half!! I didn't even see that coming! Ewwwww.

Hmmm. I guess it was too gruesome for Jordan...wimp.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end and it was all too soon that Papa and Nana had to be on their way. Before they left they wanted to give us our Christmas presents. Of course we were all over that and oh, what fun we had! Caden received a Spiderman that could actually climb the walls. You can't tell but he is super excited.

Amaya received a jewlery making kit! I wanted to play with all those wonderful beads and jewels soooo badly but Mom wouldn't let me...I heard her tell Aunt Becca that I would just put them in my mouth, she knows me too well because that is exactly what I was going to do with them. I thought Aunt Becca would be on my side at least, she used to taste all her toys. Sheesh!

Jordan got a toy train set but he wouldn't let me see it.

I saved the best for last. You would not believe what Papa and Nana got me for Christmas...I can hardly believe it myself. I opened my present with great anticipation to discover...MY VERY OWN LAPTOP!!! AND IT WAS PINK!!!! Finally! Now I won't have to pry the computer from Mom's hands after she falls asleep. Thank you Papa and Nana!

I immediately went to a private corner and set to work. I don't know how many hours passed while I was busy busy busy!

I had so much fun with Papa and Nana. I was sad to see them go home but I look forward to seeing them soon.  I have many things to do at the moment but I promise to try and get some more blogs up soon. After all, I know you are all on the edge of seats in anticpation for my Christmas blogs!

Until then...may your night night bottles be warm and fill your tummys!

It has been much too long since I have blessed my beloved readers with my deep and life-changing thoughts on life. I am sorry for this. Please accept as an apology the following pictures and captions. Let's jump right in shall we...I was very excited when Mom informed me that we would be going on an excursion to the wonderous city of Amarillo to participate in something called a "playdate" with Mom's friend Linsye, her daughter Ada, and Linsye's mom Darla!

I thought I would start off with some beauty shots of me and my friend Ada. You're welcome in advance.

And here is my dearest and oldest friend Ada Taylor. We may not appear to care for each other very much but we just believe in being discreet so as to keep everyone else away. Beautiful people have to be careful with their reputation..otherwise everyone will want to join the "cool kids" club.

I agreed to let Mom put a picture of her and Linsye in the blog as long as she understood that nothing special would be said about it. After all, the world does not revolve around my mom. So here it is...(shockingly this picture was actually taken in Amarillo)

Ada is under the same curse I am, neither of our parents trust us enough to set us free from our strollers. We were held captive almost the entire day! It's horrifying isn't it?

We were planning a prison break when this picture was snapped. Take note of how we play it off so that the parent's had no idea of our devious plan. Mwah hah hah!!

Our plan never came to fruition though because our moms decided that we needed to swing. It was sooo humiliating to have sit in their laps! Ada and I discussed it at length via email later that evening. We agreed it was a sorry excuse for the moms just wanting to swing themselves. I wonder how long they will live vicariously through us?

Ahhh, the ducks who were in dire need of bread. I had no words to descibe the greed I witnessed at the hands, er...I mean webbed feet of these horrible birds! The parent's were really excited though so I placated them with a few quacks of my own. They're so easy to impress!

The parent's kept staring at us in an attempt to illicit a response so I followed Ada's lead and we clapped for the evil ducks. It was a good thing we did too, otherwise we would probably still be there.

I enjoyed the "playdate" with Ada (the word playdate is so degrading, don't you think?) and I can't wait to see her again. Of course, I don't let my mom know this. It would please her waaay to much.

How about a change of scene. Mom has taken about a million pictures of me eating a banana. I'm not sure why. She just thinks it's adorable to see me feed myself.

And here I am eating yet another banana. This picture is different though in that I am sans fork. Have you ever seen anything less thrilling. Could you please tell my mom to chill out with the eating pictures...banana's in particular. I just want to enjoy my lunch in peace!

Prepare youself, the next two pictures are absolutly terrifying! I don't know what my parent's were thinking by sending me into this modern day Lion's Den! Look at the ferocious creatures chasing me. Thank goodness I'm fast, otherwise I wouldn't be around to write this blog!

Did you see that one? It just pounced at me, claws outstretched toward my throat with it's big sharp teeth bared in anticipation for the taste of my delicate baby flesh! Run! Run from the bloodthirsty kittens! Run if you want to live!!!!!

Please give me a minute, I have to do some deep breathing in order to regain my composure. In the meantime scroll on down through the next few shots which are so adorable they speak for themselves.

And we are back. I'm doing much better now. In case you were wondering, yes that is my Aunt Kami in the picture above. We were making funny fish faces because...well you know.

Sometimes Mom waits for so long to do laundry that she runs out of options for clean clothes to put me in. This is an example of one of those days. The t-shirt is tied in the back and it fell off about 3 seconds later.

One of Mom and Dad's favorite things to do when he gets home is watch Jeopardy. I too enjoy the trivia game show. While I can't vocalize it quite yet I would like my readers to know that I routinely get more correct answers than my parents who ALWAYS forget to put their answers in the form of a question. Sheesh! (side note from Amy here: Sadie will actually watch Jeopardy from start to finish with us everyday. Her favorite part is clapping with the studio audience during Daily Doubles. She even recognizes it the second it comes on screen)

I have to go play in the curtains now. It's my favorite place to snack, make messes and get some much needed alone time. I hope you enjoyed the latest installment of ...And Then There Were Three. (BTW I am trying to get Mom to change the name to "The Marvelous and Inspiring Words and Thoughts of Sadie"

Peace out my homies!

Go Hart Longhorns!

Well, it's that time of year again when football season rules friday nights! Actually in our case it rules all our nights and days as well! It has been an adjustment but we are all navigating these unfamiliar waters together and we will get there. Sadie is asleep so she can't narrate the blog tonight so it's just going to be short and sweet.
Here we are leaving for the game. The field is right across the dirt road from our house so we just walked over.
It was a big night for hairdos as well since this is the first night that Sadie has let me put a giant bow in her hair and LEFT IT ALONE! I suspect if I had turned my back it would have been gone but she never got the chance to defy the bow.
Thanks Aunt Becca! You have awesome bow making abilities and we received many compliments!

GO COACH FRYAR! There is a pretty good chance that I embarrassed him by taking this picture but he will get over it :) There was only time for a quick kiss (for Sadie of course) before he had to be on his way.
Here we are, all a twitter and waiting for the game to start. You can see the masses of Hart fans behind us ( about 20 in all, but we were a little early)

Coach Daddy talking being all "coachy"

In this picture Robby is talking to number 22 who not more than 5 minutes later scored the first touchdown of the game. Coincidence? I think not!!! Coach Fryar rocks!

My little spider monkey wouldn't stray too far from my side but I still managed to get this precious picture which is, of course, frame bound!

That is it for the football pictures but I couldn't resist throwing in a few more precious shots. A few weeks ago a cold front came through and it was about 55 degrees in the morning so we layered up to go grocery shopping.
Here is Ms. Sadie enjoying the crisp cool weather.

And here she is reading one of our favorite books ( I have it memorized because we read it ALL the time) I had absolutly nothing to do with this pose. She unfolded her couch, she chose her book, and she propped it up to read. PRECIOUS! A girl after her mama's heart.

And here she is in a dog bed at Grandmas because...you know...why not.

That's it for me tonight. Short and sweet.

My Life in Hart

HI!! Did you miss me? I know that my mom usually does a little opener here before I start my blog but I told her that her writing becomes tiresome really quickly so she should just let me write the entire blog. So here is goes...
As most of you know my parents moved me to Hart TX. Being a city girl I did not feel I was wired to live too far away from a Target but I am learning to appreciate the country life. I thought I would take you though an average day for me in my new home. Mom was in charge of the camera so I apoplogize for shoddy pictures in advance. Enjoy!

I begin my day every morning at about 7:30 a.m. My dad has usually left for work by this time. I like to sit in Mom's lap while I wake up fully and then I journey to my room to read a book or two. I love my room. It is so convenient to have all my toys in one place. I routinely pull them all out and I do a pretty good job of spreading them all over th floor if I do say so myself.

After my morning read I usually wander back into the living room to see what Mom is up to. This morning she was watching Regis and Kelly and I find that show mildly amusing so I sat down on my couch to enjoy it too.

I don't like to eat right when I wake up but about 30 minutes later I am ready for breakfast. I love my special chair at the table. I feel more secure being strapped in. This morning I enjoyed some peach yogurt, milk, and banana. I don't want there to be any confusion about when I am through eating so I let Mom know by throwing everything on the floor.

After breakfast it's time to pick out my outfit for the day. I have TONS of clothes but only a few actually fit me because I am what Mom calls "petite" isn't that cool! I had no idea I was French.
Anyway, this morning I picked out a swimsuit and a robe to wear. I indicated to Mom what my choice was by, once again, throwing it on the floor. It's my signature move.

When I started this business of blogging I swore to myself that I would never do this but the pressure finally got to me and I have posted a picture of me in my skivvies...scandalous! You may not be able to tell but Mom and Dad have started putting me in cloth diapers instead of disposable ones. I quite like them because my bum is a lot less itchy but I don't like what they do for my figure...oh well.
Once again, Mom has chosen something more "sensible" for me to wear. It's not like it's that big a deal, I mean, I look cute in whatever I wear. So here I am ready for the day and I am relaxing and watching Veggitales while waiting for Mom to get ready. I'm not quite sure what she did with my hair there.

We are going to Plainview to do some grocery shopping! As usual I have to wait for Mom to get her stuff together before we can go. Wow, we really have to do something about these shrubs. They're as tall as me!

And here we are at Wal-Mart. I don't mind shopping because it gives me the chance to look around and visit with people who want to meet me. In fact, I met a lovely older lady who admired my hair and said she wanted to try it out for herself because it was a windy day. I can't help but feel she was being condescending. An adult would just look silly with this hairdo.
After our Wal-Mart excursion I really needed a nap. Mom, why are you taking pictures of this. get out, I am really sleepy! My hair looks sillier than usual because Mom didn't want me to swallow my hair thingies. (Thanks for the reminding her Nana)

Ahhhh, lunchtime. Mom really went all out and made me an uncrustable PBJ sandwich ( I know you just thaw it and cut it into pieces Mom..duh) I ate the outside bread part only. You can't see my food in this picture because I was through and...you guessed it, threw the rest on the floor! I like watching Mom sweep after every meal.
Now it's time for the best part of the day! Our daily walk to check the mail. Here in the country we have to go to the Post Office to pick up our mail and since the Post Office is only a couple streets over we usually walk (well, I stroll) Mom insists on lathering me up in sunblock and today she made me wear shoes because we are also going to visit Daddy at work.
Here is a lovely shot of me in front of one of Hart's treasures...a grain mill. Sometimes I can't believe I actually live here. I MISS YOU TARGET!

Hart is not a safe place for frogs. We like to count the number of dead frogs we encounter on the way to the Post Office. Today we counted 18! There were more but then there was some traffic on the street (3 cars) so we had to be extra careful and couldn't keep counting. I guess frogs don't learn by example because they all try and cross the street and they get smushed. Ahhh. Mom took a picture of a smushed frog...lovely. At least this one is dried out.

And here we are in Daddy's classroom! I think it could use some more color but Daddy says it will do just fine for a high school math class. One day he will appreciate my decorating skills.

I love to sit with Daddy at his desk. I was also parched after our walk. I miss Daddy when he is gone all day but at least he is just across the street and never to far away.

Daddy was feeling overwhelmed with everything he has to do to get ready for Monday so I made up a little cheer to encourage him. It goes "YEAH!!!" and you clap your hands. Here I am perfoming it for him. I think it really did the trick. He doesn't usually look crazy!
Well, my day is starting to wind down. I played for a little while longer, had some dinner (threw it on the floor) took a relaxing bath, and here I am watching The Backyardigans before bed. Then Mom said we were going to watch Psych which is one of her and Dad's favorite shows but instead of putting it on the TV, she turned the computer on and Nana and Duke were on the show! I was confused because I didn't see Gus anywhere but Mom insisted that we were watching Psych.
Sorry to jump in here Sadie but we weren't watching Psych, we were using Skype to talk to Nana and Duke.
MOM! You can't just interrupt my blog with your made up words.
Ok, Sadie, so sorry...carry on.
Anyway, I didn't understand the computer thing but I LOVE Backyardigans!
Well folks, it's now almost 7:30 and time for me to turn in. After reading a few books with Mom and saying our prayers I am going to call it a night. I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my day. As you can see, living in the country has not slowed me down a bit, I even grown two more teeth! I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend, I know I will. Goodnight All!
